Review: I have never seen
Mordaehoth live on stage, because most of its existence
this band has been a solo endeavour. This live recording
- done with quite a good session line-up - is a pretty
good document to show that this band could have made
quite a stage reputation in those days. I guess, that
wasnt in the business plan. The sound is not really
the best, but its not crap either. It proficiently
captures the atmosphere that haunted the stage, and both
fast and slow passages manage to impress. Some of the
live renditions are, in my humble opinion, better than
the versions Mordaehoth released as studio-tracks.
Perhaps a good remix could make this live tape worthy of
a proper re-release. Come on, godverdomme, black
fucking metal, to quote the band during the first
riff of Samaels Into the Pentagram, speaks
volumes here. This tape really is black fucking metal!
