Demo 2000 demo CD 2000
1: Revelation
2: And Pain Begins
3: Murw
4: A Wish
5: A Remembrance of Times Forlorn
6: Debris
7: Sadness
8: A Tragedy of Birth
Review: This is definitely
far removed from a certain cup of brownish liquid that I
might call 'my cup of tea', despite the obvious talents
of main musician Floris - just check out Meslamtaea. This
is just the kind of blackish metal I consciously choose
to ignore with all of the fibers in my body. I have tried
several times to listen to Murw with a fresh and open
mind, but I just cannot seem to sit through it. Sure, the
production is 'different' and could be worse (but it
could also be meaner, fuller, or darker), the melodies
are quite original (but could also be more sinister and
ominous), and it's unusually quirky (but it is never over
the top or explicitly daring), but at the same time it
bores me to death! I'm sure there is a whole bunch of
people being perfectly content with this, but I'm just
not one of them...
